The Archdiocese of Baltimore Human Resource Department is seeking a dependable, very detail oriented Human Resource Intern to join our team for the period May through August 2024. Our Intern will be working with our Applicant Tracking System (UKG) to update candidates, create job opportunity profiles, and enter new hire information, in addition to working with other UKG Onboarding and Document Management Modules. Our Intern will be provided the opportunity to gain relevant experience with applicant tracking system technology, while gaining real-time exposure to the full hiring process. To foster the best learning experience for our Intern, the position will be in-house at the Archdiocese of Baltimore Central Office located at 320 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 (free parking available around the corner). The Internship is intended to be a full-time summer position; however, the specific days and hours can be determined based on the scheduling requirements of the individual hired.
Essential Functions:
- The functions our Intern will perform within our applicant tracking system include but will not be limited to: Entering job opportunities, updating candidate dispositions, entering and updating new hire information.
- Provide assistance with the following: Moving new hires through the necessary steps of our Onboarding process including checking references, creating new hire folders, and preparing for New Hire Orientation.
- Our Intern may perform research on various human resource related topics, as requested.
- May be asked to complete other human resource administrative tasks relating to recruiting and benefits, as requested.
Position Qualifications:
- Must be in the process of obtaining a 4-year college degree, preferably within Human Resources or a Business-related discipline.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat software, Google Suite
- Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to stay on task and be highly dependable.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive Human Resource information.
- Must be willing to submit references as well as complete necessary pre-employment checks.
