We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our ranks. With a strong collaborative focus and a drive for continuous improvement, you’ll be a key part of the Delivery Team as they work to implement features to delight our customers. You’ll be an experienced QA Engineer, with a strong automation testing background, and a desire to iterate, innovate, and instigate quality-driven approaches and processes. You’ll know a variety of automation test tools and technologies, specifically API and UI levels of the automation test pyramid.

Key Responsibilities
To be involved in the entire Software Delivery Lifecycle.
To build, maintain and improve automation test frameworks.
Work with the delivery team to turn requirements into fully automated test sets.
Provide detailed metrics from the automated test results.
To prevent the creation of defects in our software.
To work proactively with the team to instil quality into our product, processes & practices.
To embed modern testing approaches as a part of a whole-team responsibility for quality.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
An excellent understanding of the principles of Agile testing.
Experience of automating API tests, using frameworks such as Karate, SOAPUI, Rest Assured or similar.
Experience with front end automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or similar.
Experience of working with cloud-based infrastructure. Cloud practitioner or other foundational qualification is desirable.
Experience of working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the pipeline.
Proven knowledge of databases and database query languages, e.g. SQL.
Experience of TDD and BDD techniques.
Business Requirements
To communicate and collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.
Experience of Performance and Security Testing desirable.
Confident in presenting and demoing to wider business areas.
Experience of working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
A cradle-to-grave approach to ‘baking quality in’ to Software Delivery.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A proactive, positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
A desire to learn the latest technologies in the market and help to implement those into QA at CDL.
Solution-orientated.
