Description
We are seeking a full-stack web developer. The ideal candidate will have good experience in web application UI development, developing backend microservices, and event-based architecture. We are happy to meet developers with a particular interest in a subset of the whole stack but as a cross-functional team we need you to have working knowledge of the whole stack. We have a microservice web application we use to manage an array of our front and middle office systems. This application is at the heart of our whole operation. Our engineering team works on a full development and operation model, we are seeking an experienced full stack developer to join that team. If you have any project management or leadership experience, or if you have experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with analysts, users, and senior stakeholders we would be delighted to hear from you.Key Responsibilities
- Manage feature development through the whole lifecycle: ideation, design, prototyping, development, deployment, and support.
- We work directly with stakeholders across the business from quants through to ops. You will be responsible for liaising directly with these stakeholders and must be an adaptive thinker and problem solver.
- Design, build and operate robust scalable code, and support in maintaining our existing codebase.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
- Strong experience in the full application lifecycle, scoping, design, development, deployment, maintenance and support.
- Strong knowledge of React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL
- Strong cloud experience (preferably GCP)
- Excellent developer practices, version control, deployment management, CICD, collaborative development.
- Nice to have Python, Go, R, and/or Java, any mobile development experience
- BSc in computer science or similar technical discipline.
