About the role
This is a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and success, and will develop and execute comprehensive distribution strategies. You will be looking after MUBI’s Theatrical distribution and MUBI GO in UK/IE, in addition to occasional support in other EMEA territories.
MUBI GO is our flagship initiative where... subscribers can redeem one free ticket each week to see a film chosen by us, at one of our partnering cinemas in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the United States.
You will be leading a performance-driven team and be responsible for driving revenue growth, establishing partnerships and expanding the organisation’s reach throughout the stated territories. You will ensure theatrical distribution strategies are aligned across the group in order to optimise and deliver against our cinema performance targets.
This role is a maternity cover for 12 months and based in the London office.
You will focus on:
Strategy and execution of MUBI’s Theatrical film slate across cinemas in the UK/IE, and on occasion other EMEA countries, in close collaboration with LATAM and US groups
Delivering on internal targets for box office and MUBI GO growth.
Providing support for existing teams within UK/IE on a daily basis
Collaborating with wider MUBI teams to deliver on targets
Synchronising with other MUBI teams for dating films for Theatrical/ Platform releases
Driving sales efforts with exhibition in the UK/IE
Providing ad-hoc support across additional EMEA territories as required
You will bring:
Strong commercial knowledge, understanding and experience within Distribution and Exhibition across key markets
Significant experience (ideally a minimum of 7 years) within a theatrical sales environment, with a proven track record of box office accomplishment
Strong management and communication skills along with the ability to lead and work cross-functionally across Distribution departments to coordinate timelines across territories
A goal-orientated mindset with a strong eye for detail and the ability to forecast and model box office scenarios
An enthusiastic and passionate attitude with a positive and collaborative approach
Confidence in working with team members of varying levels of seniority
