Job Description
The role of the tester will be to design and execute verification methods for a particular product during the design and manufacturing process in order to assure that the product meets specifications.
Adhering to the organizational Test Strategy whilst determining the best test approach in order to achieve optimal testing coverage and mitigate business risk.
Testers will have the following responsibilities:
Design / Develop:
- Provide insight during static reviews of requirements and product design to identify defects and risks
- Define test approach / process based on product requirements
- Design test plans, scenarios and procedures based on product specification, including the availability of appropriate test equipment and appropriate test automation
Integration / Test:
- Determine test methods to be used based on project scope and functional requirements
- Execution of test cases
- Run manual and automated tests
- Analyze and interpret test results for new or modified products
- Document, report and track defects to appropriate software development or business user groups
- Track production targets and adjust test processes and/or make recommendations to improve overall delivery methodology
- Schedule test procedures in line with delivery dates to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
Programme Management:
- Review project documentation to ensure technical accuracy and compliance and where needed, to mitigate risks
- Assist with resource planning to prioritise test resources across multiple initiatives
Qualifications
Desirable - ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level
Experience
- 3-7 years of experience in payments and/or Foreign Exchange testing
- 3 – 7 years of experience in banking operation’s
- Familiarity with a range of test management tools and procedures
- Execution of all levels of testing (i.e. User Acceptance and Regression)
- Knowledge of the practical application of technology
- Specific FS industry or product knowledge (Swift Payments and/or Foreign Exchange)
