Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join our team in Manassas, VA. This is a contract to hire position, requiring the candidate to work on-site. The role focuses on developing new software components in Java, C, C++, and Python to enhance our cybersecurity capabilities.
Responsibilities:Design and develop new software components using Java, C, C++, and Python.Implement cybersecurity solutions in accordance with industry best practices.Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and assess software vulnerabilities.Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, with a focus on secure coding practices.Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various systems.Work closely with other engineers and product managers to enhance cybersecurity features.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.2+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on languages such as Java, C, C++, and Python.Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.Proficient in developing and debugging software in a Linux/Unix environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
