Overview:We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manassas, VA. This hybrid role allows flexibility, requiring only 1-2 days per week working at home. The initial contract term is 6 months, with a strong potential for conversion to a full-time employee at a salary of $100,000 per annum. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in software development, with specific skills in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Vue), and Python.
Responsibilities:Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Vue.js), and Python.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Ensure robustness, performance, and security of applications.Implement code updates, upgrades, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, adhering to Agile methodologies and SecDevOps practices.Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies within the development community.Document and maintain software functionality and guide junior developers in best practices.
Qualifications:2+ years of professional software development experience.Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (particularly Vue.js), and Python.Strong understanding of SecDevOps and Agile methodologies.Experience with Linux environments.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
