Job Descrption
Responsibilities:Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II) and investigations to assess potential environmental liabilities and risks associated with proposed development projects.Perform fieldwork, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, and site characterization activities.Collect and analyze environmental data, including soil, water, and air samples, using standard laboratory and field testing methods.Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and regulatory compliance documentation in accordance with applicable environmental regulations and guidelines.Assist with permitting processes and regulatory compliance efforts, including preparing permit applications and conducting regulatory agency coordination.Support remediation and mitigation projects, including design, implementation, and monitoring of remedial actions and environmental controls.Conduct environmental monitoring and compliance inspections to ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental permits.Collaborate with project teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address environmental concerns and develop sustainable solutions.Stay informed of emerging environmental regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate environmental risks.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, civil engineering, or related field, with a focus on environmental assessments and remediation projects.Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA, and state-specific environmental regulations.Experience conducting Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments (ESA) and investigations.Proficiency in environmental sampling and monitoring techniques, including soil and groundwater sampling, air quality monitoring, and ecological surveys.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and communicate complex environmental concepts effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze environmental data and develop practical solutions to environmental challenges.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Proficiency in GIS software and environmental modeling tools is a plus.Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geologist, Certified Environmental Professional) preferred.
