Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager (Hybrid) at Latitude

Job Descrption
We are seeking an experienced Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and accounting for trusts and estates. The Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager will be responsible for reading through trust agreements, performing accounting from the trust's financial information, and preparing tax returns. Remote 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Review trust agreements and other relevant documents to understand the terms and provisions
- Analyze trust financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare trust accounting, including income, expenses, gains, and losses
- Prepare and review estate and trust tax returns, including Form 1041
- Communicate with clients and other professionals to gather necessary information and resolve issues
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations related to trusts and estates
- Provide guidance and support to clients and team members on trust and estate tax matters
- Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
