Responsibilities:Install, terminate, and test fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cables according to industry standards and project specifications.Perform cable pulls, routing, and dressing in various environments, including commercial buildings, data centers, and outdoor installations.Install and configure network equipment, such as switches, routers, and patch panels, as required.Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine cabling requirements and identify potential obstacles or challenges.Troubleshoot and resolve cable-related issues, including connectivity issues, signal loss, and cable damage.Maintain accurate documentation of cabling installations, including labeling, schematics, and test results.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in construction sites, data centers, and other potentially hazardous environments.Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.Minimum of 1 years of experience in cabling installation and maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.Proficiency in installing and terminating fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cables.Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as TIA/EIA, ANSI, and BICSI.Experience with network equipment installation and configuration, including switches, routers, and patch panels.Strong understanding of cable testing and certification tools, such as OTDR, TDR, and cable certifiers.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.OSHA certification or safety training preferred.
