Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of financial management for the company's portfolio of commercial properties across multiple states.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for each property, working closely with property managers and regional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements, implementing strategies to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.Coordinate the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business growth initiatives.Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as needed.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in real estate accounting and property management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles within the real estate industry, with a focus on commercial property management.Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles, including lease accounting, CAM reconciliations, and property valuations.Experience working with multi-state properties and familiarity with state-specific tax regulations and reporting requirements.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and advanced MS Excel skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Proven leadership ability, with experience managing and developing a team of accounting professionals.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
