Job Descrption
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Design and Drafting Technician to join our team in Manassas, VA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in SolidWorks and CAD design, along with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree or equivalent qualification. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for permanent hire.
Responsibilities:Create detailed drawings, models, and designs using SolidWorks and CAD software.Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop accurate technical drawings and specifications.Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.Participate in design reviews and provide input for design improvements.Support prototype development and testing activities.
Requirements:Associate's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in design and drafting roles.Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Must be willing to undergo a background check and obtain a secret clearance if selected.
