Job Descrption

Basic knowledge of welding processes and procedures, Assist in the assembly/disassembly of gas/steam turbines components, and gear boxes. Lay out, join, form, fasten, saw, grind, fabricate, assemble, install, and functionally check assemblies.

Responsibilities

Grind, weld, and finish grind of all components in the repair process.
Lay out, join, form, fasten, saw, grind, fabricate, assemble, install, and functionally check welded, machined, mechanical or formed parts and assemblies.
Turbine repair (gas/steam)
Disassemble/Assemble all heavy industrial equipment and components.
Calculate and measure dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of math and instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges. Document findings.
Clean and prepare work areas.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
3-5 years Arc, Gas, Tig and Mig weld experience (verifiable) and/or equivalent weld schooling
Demonstrate ability to work from prints, sketches, planning, or verbal instructions and welding a variety of materials, parts, and assemblies. Including Inconel, stainless, aluminum and bronze
Ability to pass ARMS 6G weld certification.
Supply your own basic hand tools and die grinders.
