EHS Manager
This person will be the subject matter expert on all thing’s safety and environmental. This is a fully onsite position located in Columbia, MD. The Site EHS Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, management, and regulatory agencies to maintain and enhance the site's environmental, health, and safety standards.

Job Duties

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and implement measures to control and mitigate identified risks.
Continuously monitor production activities for adherence to safety practices.
Create and update safety policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Communicate and train employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Lead and oversee investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses and analyze root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field; or 3+ years of related experience
Professional certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable. •
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certification processes.
At least 3 years of experience in EHS leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations, environmental compliance, sustainability practices, and ISO standards
