An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker within Adoption, Lancashire & Blackpool.
On 1 April 2020, Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council formed a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA): Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool. Lancashire County Council are the host authority for the RAA, which provides a comprehensive service to families across the region. The RAA delivers the following services on behalf of the partner Local Authorities: Recruitment & Assessment of adopters; Adoption Support & Family Finding.
The Recruitment and Assessment Social worker role is to be involved in the recruitment, assessment and support of prospective adopters until an Adoption Order is granted and involves training and preparation of adopters, pre and post approval, involvement in matching with children and supporting adopters once children are matched and move into their care. This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.

You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council.
