Job Summary
The Business Analyst will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows. They will translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology teams and work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. The Business Analyst will also be involved in identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, guiding the development team throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on project deliverables.
Perform impact analysis and risk assessment to identify potential challenges and mitigate project risks.
Participate in the design and implementation of software solutions, providing valuable insights to drive innovation, and efficiency.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing any issue or concerns related to the implemented solution.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging your expertise to recommend innovative solutions that drive business value.
Skills
Proficiency in business process modeling techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, IIBA-AAC) are a plus.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of delivering successful IT projects in the insurance or related industry.
