As a Dairy Technical Manager, we are looking to for an individual who will conduit for our first purchases in relation to the Red Tractor Dairy Scheme and support the Scheme manager. You will maintain relationships, resolve queries and provide technical support to the dairy sector.

As a Dairy Technical Manager, you will be working effectively with Standard Owners, First Purchasers, Auditors, Farmers and Support Staff, delivering the highest quality service. Being analytical and having strong commercial acumen, you will promote Company’s values in daily activities and decisions and contribute to activities which meet goals and deliver the greatest value.
Required skills and experience
- Agricultural, preferably Dairy Industry experience
- Formal qualification preferred
- Approved Red Tractor and ancillary schemes academy training and successful outcomes
- Experienced certifier &/or farm assessor desirable
- Approved witness assessor desirable
- Practical farm experience
- Experience of delivering training
- Good IT literacy skills
- Driving License and own car
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Key activities:
- Assisting the field team in creating a highly trained, skilled and competent assessor pool for the Dairy work Intertek SAI Global offers according to scheme requirements and protocols
- Providing technical support for all Agri staff in field and our client services team in a timely manner
- Assisting in certification for the Red Tractor Dairy Scheme and other Red Tractor schemes you are skilled in along with bolt-ons in this area as required. Ensuring relationship, KPI’s and financial management of these schemes are key focuses
- Liaising and communicating with Red Tractor and standard owner personnel in line with relevant protocol timelines and process
- Training and witnessing assess for the schemes managed and others you are skilled in as required
- Being able to make certification decisions for the Dairy scheme with a solid understanding of the impacts and process involved when suspensions and withdrawals occur
- Reviewing and monitoring of incoming reports and providing assessor feedback where applicable
- Reviewing and monitoring documentary evidence and final approval of assessment reports
- Preparation, delivery, and assistance of assessor and certifier training
- Completing witnesses in the schemes you work within, in the required time frame
Where required this role may involve the need to travel across UK, stay away or undertake additional hours to enable completion of key tasks and scheme responsibilities, around 20%.
