As a Project Support Technician, you will be part of the Project Support & Facilities team who cover EV powertrain, hybrid, battery and combustion engine testing projects and you will support to the Project Support and Facility Engineers during upgrade and modification works.

Required skills and experience
- Fabrication
- Welding (TIG, MIG etc), plasma cutting etc.
- Machining (lathe, mill, surface grinder)
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems experience and modification
- Metal work, drilling, cutting, bending etc.
- Good logical & practical problem-solving skills
- Good IT literacy skills
Desirable skills and experience
- Paint/spraying/coating experience
- Knowledge of propulsion test cells
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The key scope of the Project Support Technician role is fabrication, manufacture, fitting, assembly, welding and machining of equipment, materials and structures to allow the speedy introduction of a DUT to a propulsion test cell.
Key responsibilities:
Technical, hands on, practical & PC-based tasks, which include:
- Fabrication of framework and fixtures to allow install of DUT to test cell.
- Modification of exhaust systems, plant/chiller pipes, fuel lines etc
- Instrumentation of turbos, catalytic converters, motors, plant pipes, cylinder blocks etc
- Manufacture of bespoke adaptors & fittings
- Pressure/leak testing of systems and subsequent repair
- Drilling, cutting, assembly & fixing etc
- Work requests close off and management
- Email communications
Based in Milton Keynes. Permanent. Full time. Alternating shift pattern.
