Role description:
As the Australian WHS Manager, you will be reporting directly into the Board of Directors and the senior management team. Work with our global WHS team, while leading the Australian WHS team in facilitating and growing our Workplace Health & Safety programs and policies.

Role accountabilities:
Harnessing your previous experience within the Engineering, Construction or Professional Services industries, you will be required to:
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure Arcadis is fully effective in mitigating its WHS risk profile.
- Partner with the business to define and lead a proactive WHS culture and promote stewardship of senior professionals and leaders.
- Propose improvement initiatives to the senior management team and business leaders within Arcadis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
- Advanced knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 and ISO 450001:2018
- 12+ years’ experience in all facets of WHS and risk management
- Demonstrated experience working in construction, engineering, professional services or a similar industry
- Experienced in developing and implementing contemporary WHS cultural improvement programs aligned to leading safety philosophies and practices
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing WHS policies, procedures, processes and practices within a national organisation
- Demonstrated working knowledge in WHS Management Systems that have secured Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner Accreditation and ISO Certification
- High level of personal integrity, ethical standards and interpersonal skills
