Arcadis seeks an experienced Senior Traffic Design Engineer to join our Transportation team as a PTAN employee.

Role description:
Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver design projects for our growing Georgia market. The role will require the candidate to conduct a variety of tasks associated with signing and marking, signal design, and intersection design projects. The candidate will provide quality assurance reviews on traffic elements of design projects and assist with project management activities for intersection design task orders. Candidates will routinely engage and strengthen relationships with clients throughout project delivery and marketing activities.
This is a hybrid positions assigned to our Atlanta, GA office. Candidates will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule but will be required to attend internal and external client meetings in person as needed.
Role accountabilities:
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to provide technical and quality assurance reviews for signal design elements and signing and marking.
- Provide senior engineering input to safety and operational improvement projects.
- Assist PMs with required GDOT Plan Development Process (PDP) activities.
- Coordinate and interface with clients to discuss technical elements of the project and present results.
- Providing training and guidance to junior engineers and interns in areas of technical proficiency and consultancy
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant work experience post degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE in a US-based jurisdiction with the ability to obtain your PE in Georgia within six months of hire.
- Must possess a US Drivers license
Preferred Skills and Proficiencies:
- Proficient in the design of traffic signals and signing and marking based on Georgia standards.
- Understanding of the application of traffic operations principles including ITE, MUTCD, AASHTO, and state DOT requirements, policies, manuals and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail is critical in the success of this position.
- Ability to work well in groups as well as independently.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $122000 - $146400.
