Job Descrption
The Procurement ADP is “hosted” by the Global Supply Chain Organizational Development Department and participants are matched with a member of the global procurement management team.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Sourcing Leadership Team with:
- Providing support for the multiple categories of raw material direct spend (including outside tolling).
- Assist with maintaining specific departmental components of procurement, such as inventory tracking, vendor management, process issues, information technology, and related areas.
- Assist with maintaining a variety of reports such as vendor lists, performance history, price quotes, and other information.
- Understanding of the operations within the strategic procurement organizations
- Assist in supporting procurement analytics initiatives including cost modeling, market analytics.
- Drive analysis on purchasing opportunities in working capital improvements from vendor terms management.
- Assist with special projects, which may include compiling and analyzing targeted data, reviews and assessments of processes or operations or developing special reports. Creates detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
- Understand the process of gathering and maintaining supplier pricing and maintain a standardized pricing maintenance process and analysis to determine impact of price changes.
- Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in business (finance/accounting/economics), operations/supply chain or operations from an accredited institution.
- Must be willing to relocate for this position AND upon completion of the program.
- Must be open to relocating Post Program for targeted roles.
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.8
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
- Travel requirements - 10%.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Problem solving ability.
Preferred:
- Previous Internship/Co-op experience within Sherwin-Williams.
- Previous Internship, Co-op, or work experience in a related field.
- Leadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with data analysis tools (ie. Tableau, Business Objects, etc)
