Position Summary:
Assists in planning, organizing and directing the activities of the Accounting Department with Tenet policies and generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for the monthly close for West Boca Medical Center.
Position Qualifications: (including required licensure/certifications, education and job knowledge / experience)
Minimum: 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
Preferred: Masters degree in Accounting or related field AND/OR CPA prepared.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in Accounting.
- Prefer to have hospital accounting background, but not required.
- Desire previous Assistant Controllership experience ü Advanced analytics & good communication skills a must
- Advanced technical skills in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

Assists controller in managing the accounting department staff and ensures month end close process is completed timely. Right hand to the controller in preparing the annual budget with guidance from the CFO and Region/Market. Ensures, along side of the controller, the entire balance sheet is reconciled timely. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Continuous progress toward becoming a controller.
Education:Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:Required: 3 years accounting experience
Preferred: Healthcare experience
