Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist / RRT Supervisor , in collaboration with the Director, will manage the day-to-day clinical and program operations. The Registered Respiratory Therapist / RRT Supervisor requires the ability to complete job responsibilities that maximizes clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and interdepartmental workflow. The Registered Respiratory Therapist / RRT Supervisor assists manager in orientation of new employees, education, skills competency determination, performance improvement, problem solving and counseling, scheduling and special projects. The Respiratory Supervisor responsible for the maintenance of the ABG Lab in accordance with CAP and CLIA standards. TheRegistered Respiratory Therapist / RRT Supervisor performs critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures and/or diagnostics through both physician directives and respiratory care protocols. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or Science Florida RRT license, credentialed by NBRC BLS, ACLS, NR
Minimum Experience
3 years or more respiratory care experience in an acute care facility requried for Registered Respiratory Therapist / RRT Supervisor

Supervises, to include discipline, supports and coaches staff in absence of Director; responds proactively to employee needs; makes rounds to adequately maintain patient equipment; therapeutic listings; reports identified unusual patient conditions/reactions to immediate supervisor; performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment.
Education:
Required: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program.
Experience:
Required: 1 year of respiratory care
Preferred: Supervisory experience
Certifications:
Required: RCP or equivalent State licensure; CRT, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and AHA NRP
Preferred: RRT
