Position Summary
Responsible for scheduling operative procedures. Assists the Operating Room Manager and Supervisor with coordinating the surgery schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High school graduate or equivalent Knowledge of medical terminology
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Minimum of six (6) months recent experience as a scheduler
Basic computer knowledge (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet)

Pay Range: $25.09 - $38.89 hourly
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience

Scheduling patients for surgery, completing facility paperwork. Scheduling patients for diagnostic tests such as bone scan, MRI, CT, EMG/NCS, ESI. Reviewing patient’s meds and health history to determine pre-admission testing needs. Scheduling appropriate medical and cardiac clearances. Scheduling patient for follow-up appointments and tests. Other duties as assigned.
Education:Required: High school diploma or GED. Evidence of medical terminology proficiency
Experience:Required: 1 year of experience
Certifications:Required: BLS
