Position Summary
The rehabilitation tech assists the physical therapy staff by performing delegated therapy treatments and /or performing delegated therapy related duties, maintaining the department and equipment in a functional manner, which included but is not limited to setting up and cleaning rooms, gyms and equipment. The rehab tech also provides clerical support to the department and performs other activities as defined by the director of the physical therapy department.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS/CPR Certification
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Preferred fluency in Spanish (may become a required job standard depending on the facility caseload).

Prepares treatment areas appropriately for patient care, cleans treatment areas following patient care, to include hydrotherapy areas; assists patients to prepare for treatment; transports patients to and from the department, assists therapists and assistants with patient care, maintains linen supplies, maintains inventory of supplies, assures appropriate equipment performance prior to use, performs cleaning of the area and equipment as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate degree
Experience:
Preferred: 6 months in healthcare setting
Certification:
Required: AHA BLS.
