Hilton Head Hospital (HHH) is a 109-bed acute care hospital located at 25 Hospital Center Boulevard in Hilton Head Island, SC. Opened in 1974, HHH serves Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie and surrounding counties through its care team of over 600 colleagues and over 100 physicians. The hospital provides a continuum of services through its centers and programs, including a 24-hour emergency department, critical care, cardiac care ranging from minimally invasive to open heart surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, urology, a nationally accredited breast health center, spine care, gastroenterology, surgical services, cardiac and physical rehabilitation, and a 12-bed geriatric psychiatric inpatient unit. Clinical Pharmacist PRN Rotating Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director, the staff pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and rational distribution and utilization of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state and federal laws, JCAHO Standards, and hospital or departmental policies and procedures.
THE CLINICAL PHARMACIST PRN ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
1. Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of South Carolina.
Experience:
1. One year of hospital pharmacy experience in unit dose and IV admixture preferred.
Other Qualifications:
1. Maintain S.C. license through continuing education.
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate effectively to hospital staff, department heads, administration and medical staff.
