The Assistant Registered Nurse Manager / Assistant RN Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas for the purpose of ensuring the competent delivery of quality patient care. Assistant Registered Nurse Manager / Assistant RN Manager implements, educates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. The Assistant Registered Nurse Manager / Assistant RN Manager ‘s primary role is to take charge of nursing personnel, however, they may take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Preferred: BSN
Experience
Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred.
Certifications
- Registered Nurse / RN licensed in the State of Florida.
- BLS Certification, approved by the American Heart Association

Basic Computer Skills

Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act. Promotes optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for department/s on a 24-hour basis.
Education:
Required: Academic degree in nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree.
Experience:
Required: 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full-time charge nurse/related position.
Certifications:
Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
