Manages the operational, financial, personnel activities, and clinical aspects of Respiratory Care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets; directs daily operations of assigned departments; directs staff; achieves ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies; selects personnel for hire and promotion; takes appropriate actions regarding counseling, disciplinary actions, demotion and termination; develops and implements quality assurance programs for department.
Education:
Required: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program. Associate in respiratory care or health science;
Preferred: Bachelor's in Health Care Management
Experience:
Required: 2 years respiratory care and 2 years managerial experience
Certifications:
Required: RCP or equivalent State licensure; RRT, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Physical Demands:
