The Exercise Specialist assists clinical staff members in all areas to contribute to quality patient care. This individual works cooperatively with the rehabilitation staff and other hospital personnel to support the overall plan of care for addressing the multicultural and age-appropriate care of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. Graduation from an accredited school or college with Bachelors of Science in exercise science, exercise physiology or kinesiology
B. Experience
1. Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, skills and proficiency as a Rehabilitation aide/physical therapy aide as acquired through supervised on-the-job orientation and training
2. Demonstrated above-average competence in communication with populations which may include adults and geriatrics
