In a nutshell the main priority of the role will be the people:
You will be leading and managing our show's people; both in the field and back at our warehouse in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Each week and each event requires a different workforce, so an understanding of what is needed and knowing who will be best to support will be essential. You will be expected to lead your team of hardworking show’s people with energy and creativity and to inspire all to achieve the collaborative goal of driving outstanding brand awareness and out perform sales year on year at each show.
An affinity for adapting to ever changing environments and the desire to nurture exceptionally high levels of customer service within your people, will be what makes the successful Shows Retail Manager shine!
The rest of the day to day of the role and what we’re looking for:
You can expect a varied and exciting day to day in the role of Shows Retail Manager! Besides the people management responsibilities, a desire and love for adventure and travel are essential in this role, as you will be attending the very best outdoor and indoor country events up and down the country. You will be results orientated and commercially driven with a flair for delivering a best in class retail experience for our customers. You have the ability to create a shopping experience that is unique to the Joules brand. Coupled with this is your ability to develop and implement exceptional retail operational standards and support with Show efficiencies to drive profitability for the channel.
The ideal candidate:
- This role involves an extensive need for travel and so the ideal candidate must have a passion for and feel comfortable in the great outdoors, alongside an appreciation for the need to be adaptable at the drop of a flat cap!
- This role requires you to be onsite to manage and lead all Events we attend, so you may be away from home for up to a week at a time during our main season May - September
- Experience in leading large teams would be advantageous.
- Commercial drive and awareness is imperative in achieving those all important shows sales goals and for really reflecting the beloved Joules brand in everything you do! Therefore, retail experience is desirable.
- People Management will be at the forefront of your day to day and so experience leading a team of creative and driven people is a must, extra special bonus points for experience gained in a retail and/or fashion background.
- You must be a productive, process driven leader with an eye for detail.
- Your energy, creative eye and inspirational people management skills will be what really make you stand out in this role, so if you know this is you then what are you waiting for?
