The Warehouse Tech team are looking for a Test Analyst to join their team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity and work on the Mainframe! Salary from £31,068, based at our automated warehouse estate in South Elmsall, Yorkshire.
About the Role
As a Test Analyst you will interpret functional specifications and User Stories of new features in order to produce test plans, scripts and evolve strategies whilst designing and developing manual tests
You'll liaise with the development team and key business users in Agile development projects and will attend scrum review meetings and develop targeting test plans and cases. As well as engage with development teams and key business users during the testing, providing updates and status reports and alerting potential issues
Performing integration testing of third party software applications will be required. And working alongside other skilled Testers in the teams to provide ongoing process improvements and mentor other team members. You'll also report project progress to Test Team Leaders.
Criteria
- Able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
- Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical teamGood communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using defect tracking tools
- Have previous experience in manual testing
- Be able to evidence your experience of test planning, analysis and scripting
- Have experience in converting user requirements into test plans and test cases
- Have experience in working with agile development methodologies
- Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities
- Be able to evidence your experience of using SQL for database interrogation
- Ability to work on and manage multiple projects
Technical Skills
- Azure DevOPs or similar
- SQL
- Testing Web API’s using Postman or Similar
- Android / iOS Device Testing
Desirable Skills
- Experience of SpecFlow / Gherkin
- Azure Cloud database
- Some exposure to performance testing
- IBM Mainframe testing knowledge
- ISEB certified is preferred but not essential
- Experience in a Warehouse environment or similar
- Have some experience of mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Experience of using Scanning devices or similar
