TRAINEE BUYER - VARIOUS TEAMS
The role of Trainee Buyer sits in our wonderful Buying department where you will be responsible for progressing the seasonal ranges to hit department product, margin and stock KPI’s. This individual should take responsibility for tasks, awareness of what’s going on in the wider team, start to recommend solutions to problems to the Buyer.
Day to day as a Trainee Buyer:
- Passionate about product and can clearly interpret the Joules brand identity
- Supports the Buyers & Assistant Buyers to develop, progress and deliver the range for all channels
- Customer led mindset, backed up with store visits and competitive shops
- Develop relationships with Merchandising, Technical & Design counterparts as well as suppliers where appropriate
- Has an awareness of margin targets and how to deliver
- Has a clear understanding of the CSR targets in line with brand strategy
- Demonstrates understanding of own product area including supply base, lead time, product detail and customer
- Update and maintain product data on the Product Lifecycle Management System
- Support the Buying Team with administrative tasks
What we need you to have:
- Work experience or relevant degree in Buying with Fashion/Retail
- Takes time to fully understand process – puts in extra effort to make sure work meets required standard
- Listens and supports, is prepared to adapt style
- Clear passion for fashion and good understanding of the Joules brand
- Self-motivated in completing tasks in a proactive manner
- Willing to learn
