The purpose of this role is to interpret and present information over multiple departments covering our multi-channel business (Accounts Payable, Cash accounting, Procurement, Online and Retail Stores) through informed insight and delivering high quality analysis and support on behalf of the Finance Department.
You are a person that has very strong analytical skills and is able to utilise a multitude of data analysis tools to manipulate large volume data, improve modelling techniques, innovating and automating where possible and support the production of compelling reporting providing insight to all levels of management
Key Responsibilities
Management and Provision of MI/Analytical support across Finance Operations, Accounts Payable, Cash Accounting, Commercial Services & Head Office Banking Operations.
Produce regular reporting/projects and carry out ad hoc analyses for all areas.
Maintain and manage the scheduled reports for Cash Accounting area on a daily basis
Work with the team to ensure all scheduled reports are sent out on time and any changes are documented and maintained.
Maintain the scheduling of 57 weekly reports across all areas with the team.
Develop projects using new technology like Power BI and create appealing dashboards.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
Adopt, implement and effectively evolve report automation standards.
Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
Experience
Code proficiently in T-SQL skills and related tools (SSMS, SSRS), Power BI is a must have.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel Power Pivot, VBA & MS BI Tools
Proven experience of analysing large quantities of data with demonstrable high profile data analysis
The ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
Excellent written and verbal skills
An independent problem solver that can make high quality judgments and decisions quickly with excellent organisation skills
Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt to changing business needs
Strong analytical and inquisitive approach to problem solving with the ability to think outside the box
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
