About the Job
Our centralised finance team is pivotal in the progression of the business. They play a big part in supporting decision making and ensuring control over the operations of the business. A new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst working closely with our Lipsy/ Next Beauty business.
You will…
- Sales Reconciliations - reconciling and posting monthly retail sales and commission
- Accruals & Prepayments - accruing all expenses across the business and ensuring costs are recognised in the correct periods
- Occupancy costs - Responsible for all occupancy costs for the retail business. Submitting turnover certificates for all relevant stores, reconciling landlord invoices and liaising with landlords over billing queries. Accruing utilities & other occupancy costs for the store portfolio. IFRS 16 accounting for retail stores on fixed rent arrangements. Managing annual turnover certificate audit with an independent 3rd party
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all areas of responsibility
- Conduct overheads analysis and reallocate costs to the correct departments accordingly
- Support year end audit
- Produce cost vs budget analysis for key areas and partner with teams to reforecast spend
- Ad-hoc projects as required by the brand
Your Talent…
- Studying towards accountancy qualification (i.e. CIMA/ACCA)
- Ideally retail or FMCG background
- Exposure to month end reporting & balance sheet reconciliations
- Highly organised & able to work within tight deadlines
- Keen attention to detail
- Superb team player
- Strong communication skills
