We are looking for a Senior Interior Stylist to join our Photo Studio team at Next!
You will manage an amazing team of in-house stylists and freelance talent working as one team to deliver the full end to end process of asset creation. This is an extremely fast-paced role that covers all our in-house photography teams to maintain Next’s photographic vision and creative beliefs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is creative & proactive either looking to step up into a senior styling role or has experience within a similar position.
About the role
To deliver content to the highest quality for the Next customer aligned to our brand principles & creative direction. You will provide strong guidance to the Studio from a styling perspective in line with your Creative Lead. You will be a focused, driven, hard-working individual that has the maturity and empathy to brief, manage and direct your team.
You must be able to remain calm and professional while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. This role demands a strong team player with exceptional communication skills who is eager to learn and develop and can grasp new information very quickly.
You will be able to identify with the ever-changing requirements of a large studio team. It is vital to build and maintain strong relationships with your Creative Lead and senior management within Next Studios.
Responsibilities
Provide strong, clear and aspirational creative guidance and support to the studio team from a creative standpoint.
Communicate effectively with your team of stylists to evolve the aesthetics of the imagery creatively. Consistent research and understanding of new interior trends,, Pinterest, Instagram etc to stay inspired, in order to bring the correct approach to every shoot.
Work alongside the Senior Photographers, Videographers and Stylists to ensure the brief is being met to a high standard in line with the direction from your Creative Lead.
Maintain constant awareness of competitors, be ahead of the curve.
Carry out performance reviews on a regular basis to ensure effective, motivated and supported teams.
Conducting 1-to-1s and assisting in the development of more junior members of the team.
Responsible for training and development of your team of stylists.
Create styling/product mood boards in-line with the creative direction of the business.
Oversee multiple photographic sets to ensure the quality & output is to the required level.
Consistently strive to think outside the box with all processes and projects showing initiative and innovation.
Communicate effectively with your Creative Lead to establish clear, recognizable and achievable goals. Flexibility to work at other Next studios, external studios and on location when required.
About you
- Previous management experience is preferred
- Expert knowledge of both creative and commercial styling.
- A passion for interior styling with experience in studio and location shoots.
- A strong leader, who can manage, inspire and develop a team.
- Experience working within a large creative studio environment.
- Forward thinking, innovative & proactive in approach of all projects
- Superior planning, workload management and organisational capabilities.
- Highly developed interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills.
- Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions.
- A strong communicator and listener.
- It is essential to be commercially minded and aware of retail fashion and lifestyle trends.
- Comfortable with a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in E-commerce and editorial styling essential.
- A supporting portfolio or website.
- Exemplary attention to detail.
- Full UK Drivers Licence
