The Technical Marketing Engineer would be the global subject matter expert for one or more Fortinet products.
Responsibilities
The role requires the person to become of the subject matter expert for one or more products. This is achieved mainly through setting up the desired systems up in a lab environment but also continued communication with Development Head, PM, PMM and SEs.
The TME is expected to answer technical field questions via email or collaboration tools and help when requested to present the product via conference calls or within the Executive Briefing center. Would also be responsible for building and maintaining demo systems.
The TME would be part of a larger group of Fortinet experts that facilitates specific customer group interaction including event support.
Another key function would be hands on competitive assessments based on setting up the different systems in a lab then producing a report based on the analysis.
The TME would work closely with the PM and PMM to provide technical direction and validation on any campaign assets that are in development. In addition support the PM in making sure the product demo is updated and running.

- Must have Technical industry background either in previous SE/CSE or TME role.
- Good communication skills and solid technical knowledge for Security, Cloud and Networking Solutions.
- Expert and real world knowledge in any of the following Network Security Products such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Email Gateways, Web Gateways, Sandboxing, Web Application Firewalls, Authentication, Wireless, Endpoint and ADCs.
Education
- University degree preferred but not mandated. Experience in building customer networks can counter any formal education.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$180,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.
Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
