A Brief Overview
The position assists in managing the payroll function, including implementing strategic goals and objectives that directly impact the development and efficiencies of payroll. This position works closely with Information Technology (IT) to create system and web based efficiencies, solutions and applications. Manage staff for optimum performance.

What you will do

  • Supports Sales staff by providing prospective clients with alternatives to needs outside normal
  • Resolves client and interdepartmental concerns or challenges
  • Establishes and implements programs that will ensure achievement of the business plan for growth and profitability under the direction of the Director, HR Plus Operations or other designee
  • Assures the highest quality of instruction at all levels within the departments of responsibility
  • Maintains knowledge of rules and laws which govern the payroll administration practices.
  • Provides leadership for payroll tax and tax jurisdiction matters and maintains current understanding of changing laws, procedures, and requirements

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree-Preferred 

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 5+ years-Preferred 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong team leadership and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of payroll systems and payroll administration
  • Ability to maintain strong level of confidentiality 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Advanced understanding of both state and federal payroll regulations
  • Attention to detail 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Familiarity with TriNet and Zenefits desired

Licenses and Certifications

  • CPP & FPC-Required

The salary range for this role is $76,000 to $182,400. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience. 

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
