Job Descrption

Position Summary:  A Mail Clerk is responsible for receiving, sorting and delivering mail and packages.  It is expected that a mail clerk will carry out these responsibilities with an attention to accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
Major Responsibilities:  • Responsible for picking up, sorting, and delivering mail. • Lifting and moving boxes and packages. • Run postage meter machine. • Prepare packages for courier services. • Deliver mail to Penske locations. • Audit and approve courier invoices. • Administrative duties related to the tracking of intercompany correspondence. • Assist Penske associates with their mailing and shipping needs. • Other varied duties typical of a corporate mail center. • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent required. • Valid Driver’s license required. • Proficiency in use of a computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. • Ability to learn new software programs, including web based shipping applications. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lb packages or freight boxes. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
