Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Customer service experience
• One (1) year of similar work experience
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Must be bilingual
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of janitorial experience that reflects the potential for supervising others
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the position and perform arithmetic calculations as required by the position
- Able to work independently and within the framework of a team, accepting his/her role as required
- Committed to high standards of safety and willing and able to comply with all safety laws
- Must have the ability to perform day-to-day responsibilities with little or no direction
- Must have flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to address urgent operational needs or scheduling conflicts
- Must have the ability to work cooperatively in group situations and work actively to resolve conflicts
- Must have basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of custodial cleaning method materials, chemicals, and equipment used in custodial work and of the safety and sanitation practices and measures required
- Establish and maintain positive outlook and encourage open communication, maintain objectivity
- Organizational skills
- Prolonged period of walking, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing stairs and ladders
- Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
