The WSP Client Engineering and Advisory Services group sits within our UK Rail team. The group provides systemic and integrated rail solutions which are user focused, operationally driven, grounded in engineering and commercially sound. Teams within the Client Engineering and Advisory Services group include: Rolling Stock, Rail Planning & Operations, Rail Strategy & Feasibility, Digital Rail, and Client Engineering.

- We are looking for consultants to join the Rolling Stock team at WSP. The team provides rolling stock and depots consultancy services to our clients.
- Alongside advice on rolling stock focussed projects, we also provide rolling stock expertise to broader rail projects being delivered from WSPs Rail and Advisory teams, both locally and internationally.
- Our work covers all aspects of rail solutions including light rail, metro, regional, high-speed, freight and road-rail vehicles.
- The team provides clients with both engineering and commercial advice on rolling stock and depots.
- We work across the whole rolling stock product life-cycle, from concept, feasibility, procurement and design through to manufacture, service introduction, maintenance and overhaul.
- A breadth of experience within the rail industry including engineering and/or commercial aspects of rolling stock and depots.
- A desire to collaborate and innovate to develop technical and strategic solutions within the broader WSP group and stakeholders of multi-discipline projects.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards), eg Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIET, MIEI, MIRSE or equivalent).
- A Batchelor of Engineering degree or higher qualification
- 15+ years of experience on metro or electrified railway projects, including experience coordinating interfaces with rolling stock systems.
- A willingness to travel for work.
