Licensing Practitioner 

£24,000 - £26,100 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)

Manchester City Centre, hybrid working 

 

We’re looking for a Licensing Practitioner to join our Licensing team. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

You’ll play an important role in making sure our Co-op Food stores meet all legal standards for selling regulated items, like alcohol. You’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to make sure we are compliant and contribute to our reputation for excellent services. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and to gain great exposure in an important area of our business.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Independently manage a diverse workload, aligning with team goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) 
  • Handle the submission and administration of invoices and licensing applications
  • Utilise your expertise to advise and tackle complex queries
  • Stay up to date with legislation, making sure Co-op continues to be compliant
  • Participate and support on various exciting business-wide projects requiring licensing support
  • Liaise with a variety of internal and external partners acting as a representative of Co-op for the licensing team
  • Maintain data integrity, adhering to best GDPR practices
  • Drive compliance and legal adherence utilising effective reporting and analysis
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on services and processes

 

This role would suit people who have

  • Knowledge about UK Licensing laws and trends, or a willingness to learn
  • Experience working with IT systems with the ability to learn new systems and analyse data
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities within a dynamic environment
  • Proactive problem-solver committed to upholding service excellence.
  • Effective communicator, comfortable interacting across various levels.
