Wood are recruiting for an Offshore Senior Structural Engineer to be responsible for designing and analyzing offshore structures, ensuring their safety and compliance with industry standards.

The Offshore Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing offshore structures, ensuring their safety and compliance with industry standards. This position reports to the Lead or Principal Structural Engineer and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for offshore projects. The Offshore Structural Engineer will also provide technical support during construction and installation phases, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
• Designing and analyzing offshore structures such as platforms and jackets.
• Conducting feasibility studies and providing technical input for offshore projects.
• Performing structural calculations and simulations to ensure the integrity and safety of offshore structures.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for offshore engineering challenges.
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and codes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conducting site visits and inspections to assess the condition and performance of offshore structures.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including design reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Participating in project meetings and providing technical guidance to project teams.
• Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, including cost estimates and schedules.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in offshore engineering technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
• Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering institution
• Previous experience in offshore structural engineering
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD.Pro etc
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards for offshore structures
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
