The Role
We are searching for a candidate who is looking to bring their experience and background into a fast paced consultancy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of a variety of projects from early conceptual and feasibility design, through to contract and construction management of renewable projects.
Our Senior Engineers are responsible for the preparation and review of designs, studies, reports and drawings. Engineers are also expected to lead the electrical package design and engage with clients and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
The principal responsibility of this post is leading the delivery of technical tasks such as:
- Prepare and review of electrical designs, studies, reports and drawings
- Lead the electrical package as a whole and interface directly with Client’s, network companies and other third parties.
- Prepare proposals and management of the Client relationships.
- Assess costs and risks of electrical designs and installations
- Attending site meetings, surveys and quality inspection of site works
- Preparation of reports
- The role will involve some supervision and mentoring of junior staff

Expected:
- Experience of Technical schedules for EPC/BOP contracts and Turbine Supply Agreements
- Knowledge of Standards including Grid Code, Engineering recommendations including G99, IEC and BS technical standards
- Technical knowledge of electrical networks and their components (switchgear, cables, OHLs, transformers and reactive compensation equipment etc)
- Experience within Renewable generation including Wind and Solar PV technologies
- Experience with SCADA, industrial control and communication systems and standards
- Experience with protection and control equipment requirements associated with transmission, distribution and renewable projects
Desirable:
- Experience of development or operation of renewable energy projects, or transferable experience from power, offshore, or other relevant industries
- Relevant design, manufacturing, construction or operational experience
- Commercial understanding and experience
- Relevant training in project and safety management
- Knowledge of forms of contract and/or experience in contract negotiations
