Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is is currently seeking a Controls Engineer with experience using Mitsubishi PLC, providing complete controls software design, from initial concept to delivery, as part of large automated systems for the Systems Integration team in Northampton.
This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, mobility and travel to customer sites and face to face meetings with colleagues will be expected, including travel to Northampton office as required.

Provision of Controls Software engineering services for bespoke manufacturing machine utilising Mitsubishi iQ PLCs, GOT2000 HMI, servo drives and ABB Robots
- Executes Controls deliverable requirements including the PLC and HMI design, integration, test documentation and software programming services
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to support the project delivery team during system design, implementation, and testing
- Applies integration concepts to a wide variety of systems utilising GX Works
- Thorough documentation of system testing and process proving in pre-delivery stages

- PLC Testing (including virtual testing) Strategies

- Software design experience for automated machines incorporating PLCs, servos and pneumatics
- PLC and HMI programming expertise utilising Mitsubishi GX Works
- Strong verbal and precise written communication skills to engage with internal and external contacts, effectively gather information and express instructions clearly
- Educated to HND or degree in a relevant subject (experience taken into consideration)
- Software design experience for automated machines incorporating PLCs, servos and pneumatics
- PLC and HMI programming expertise utilising Mitsubishi GX Works
- Strong verbal and precise written communication skills to engage with internal and external contacts, effectively gather information and express instructions clearly
- Educated to HND or degree in a relevant subject (experience taken into consideration)
