Wood in the Dubai, UAE is looking for experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering team with a proven track record in executing Onshore projects from Select / Concept to Execute for clients in the middle east.

• Responsibilities:
• Specialist Engineer in Design & Detailing of Civil & Structural works of Oil and Gas projects
• Must have hands-on experience in Concrete, Structural steel, Underground drainage & Layout design and drawing detailing
• Clear understanding in SP3D and experience in Navisworks / SPR / E3D / PDS / PDMS platform is must
• Efficient handling a team of engineers and designers
• Experience in project schedule and manhour planning
• Knowledge in project specification, US codes and project design basis
• Working knowledge in Greenfield & Brownfield projects
• Ensure that works comply with the American codes and Standards
• Experience on preparation of MTO, review of other discipline vendor data, contractor submittals 
• Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
• Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Maintain the required technical quality of work
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
• Maintain planning on all work scopes
• Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required
• Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed schedule
• Keep up to date with technical developments
• Review, prepare, check work output of discipline assigned personnel
• Prepare estimates and assist in their review
• Maintain good communication with the team and client
• Maintain discipline filing system
• Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Engineering in civil / structural
• Minimum 8 - 14 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
• Preferably Brownfield Iraq Project experience
