Wood are looking to bring a Human Resources Placement into the business who will be provided with an in depth, meaningful experience within a busy HR team. The role will support key activities throughout the employee life cycle with particular focus on employee relations, employee engagement, workforce planning, and training and competency.
As a Human Resources Placement, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the HR Manager and other experienced HR Professionals gaining hands on experience and contributing to our mission of creating a positive workplace culture. You will gain practical insights into HR practices and contribute to the Wood HR Team objective.
To Include:
Support the HR Manager in key HR Generalist activities.
Provide administration support for key HR personnel.
Take minutes at HR meetings under guidance of an HR Manager.
Work closely with the Senior Training and Competency Advisor in completion of system updates.
Support creation of training plans for Trade and Craft employees.
Support reporting activities, primarily in excel.
Provide additional support to the wider HR team
Qualifications:
Higher level education
Working towards CIPD Qualification
Working towards HR Certificate/Diploma (desirable)
Must be in penultimate year of University during placement.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Level of understanding around human resources.
Good planning and organisational skills
Effective/competent MS Office Suite User
High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
