Wood in Staines are seeking a Principal Heat Exchanger Engineer for two major offshore projects.
Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Heat Exchanger Engineer (contract) to be based in our Staines office providing Heat Exchanger designs (thermal and mechanical) for two major offshore projects. The role will be on a temporary (agency) basis.
- Undertaking heat exchanger designs using HTRI software
- Preparation of mechanical data sheets for heat exchangers
- Preparation of material requisitions
- Review and evaluation of equipment suppliers’ bids
- Provision of support and advice on heat exchanger matters
- Experience in the use of HTRI software for the design of shell and tube and air - cooled heat exchangers
- Extensive experience, primarily in a contracting environment, working with heat exchangers on FEED and EPC projects for offshore oil and gas, refinery and petrochemical industries
- Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with TEMA and relevant API and ASME codes and standards
- Computer literate within Microsoft Office
