Job Descrption
Due to a growth in business, Wood Power Solutions UK is seeking Cabling Plant Operatives to join the team.
- Assist with Cable Installation and civil works.
- Prioritize safety and controlled execution.
- Report defects and safety concerns promptly.
- Deliver work both safely and productively.
- Be reliable, trustworthy, and honest.
- Execute all activities efficiently, following work plans and safety guidelines.
Cabling Plant Operative Responsibilities:
- Follow Instructions: Understand and implement project instructions, ensuring safe and high-quality work.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to Wood H&SE policies and operate equipment safely.
- Work Scopes: Complete tasks as directed by the cabling foreman.
- Team Cooperation: Collaborate with site staff and contractors.
- Continuous Learning: Be part of the team, learn, and strive for progress.
- Defect Reporting: Inform Site Management of equipment issues.
- Safety First: Prioritize safety and follow proper procedures.
- Adaptability: Assist with other site activities when needed.
- Competency: Operate equipment only with proper training.
- Support: Provide assistance to the site foreman.
- Risk Assessment: Assess risks before starting work.
- Overall Duties: Fulfill business demands and meet customer needs.
Qualifications
Essential:
- CSCS operative
- ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport / EUSR SHEA Power
- Excavator 360 above & below 10t
- Forward tipping dumper
- Cat & Genny training
- HSG 47
- Fire Awareness
- LOLER Awareness (E-Learning)
- Manual Handling Awareness E-Learning
- Wood Environmental Awareness (arranged on employment)
- Wood HSEAA Induction (arranged on employment)
- Wood Life Saving Rules (arranged on employment)
Desirable:
- Excavator 360 wheeled
- Excavator 180.
- Telehandler
- Winch training
- Street works training, NRSWA - operatives.
- ECITB Abrasive Wheels
- Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme
- Spill Management
- DVLA Towing Licence training and test
