Job Descrption
- Analyzing and interpreting plans
- Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
- Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment
- Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level
- Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement
- Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights
- Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks
- Follow the rules of safe conduct always.
- Employee must be able to use standard and/or metric rule to measure.
- Demonstrate ability to use whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to add, subtract, multiply and divide and be able to accurately follow instructions.
- Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for the job
- Demonstrate ability to work with a craft person
- Identify, recognize and select appropriate materials related to specific crafts
- Identify, explain, and perform crane hand signals.
- Demonstrate ability to assist craft person.
- Demonstrate ability to perform manual excavation.
- Work using all the safety equipment that OSHA requires as well as what is required by the client.
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, while following all waste handling guidelines.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Work at heights without fear
- Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
