Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller I based in our Houston office location. The person performing in this role will be responsible for supporting the project Document Control team with the management of project and vendor documentation for information in both electronic and hard copy format. No referral bonuses will be offered with this position.
Receive, process, monitor and expedite internal and external distribution of project documentation files consisting of technical data, engineering and supplier drawings, technical specifications, purchase orders and other project related documents
Create, update and maintain project document control record keeping system and project related databases
Prepare transmittals and distribute data as directed
Internal quality check of documents and ensure metadata is complete and accurate
Aid with the compilation of data books, handover, project closeout and archiving information
Aid in preparing project specific Master Document Registers, procedures, instructions, and forms
Processing engineering and supplier documentation
Distinguish between different types of engineering documentation
High School Diploma or GED
2 Years of clerical experience
Proficient in MS Office software
Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities. Works well under pressure
Strong work ethic and high-quality standards
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues
Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager
Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures
Ability to resolve routine problems and questions independently
Effective oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and the ability to independently compose written communications
